Fred Woods is a community activist and community leader in Northeast Houston. Fred serves his community as the President of the Northwood Manor Civic Club, 18th Congressional District Precinct Chair, Co-founder and Lead Organizer of District B United (a coalition of every Super Neighborhood within the City of Houston District B, including civic clubs and nonprofit organizations), a lifetime member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and as an annual volunteer and lifetime member for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. He is a former Texas A&M Linebacker and 12th Man. Fred considers his most important role to be that of a husband and father. He has been recognized as a Community Hero by many, with the most recent being from Que Onda Magazine for his leadership in coordinating resource distributions in response to the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl.
